A few important features of the ECAIA ionizer S:
The sturdy ceramic rotary valve, inserted into the ECAIA ionizer’s high-quality plastic casing, makes it easy to turn the appliance on and off. It also allows precise control and optimization of the water flow, which is shown on the LCD display. Furthermore, the mechanical valve offers another important advantage: it permits the appliance to filter water even without electricity. This is the main reason why SANUSLIFE® INTERNATIONAL has intentionally decided against using an electric valve. As the name suggests, in fact, an electric valve only works with electricity. During a power failure, water does not flow and therefore cannot be filtered; furthermore, electric valves quickly become encrusted. In addition to the mechanical solution, the material the valve is made of also provides an advantage, as ceramics are extremely robust and durable. One more proof that in the production of the ECAIA ionizer nothing has been left to chance.
A mechanical, continuously variable flow control system (with 3 positions: low-standard-high), allows users to adjust the water flow rate. For example, if the water pressure is too high, it can be quickly adjusted by turning the external switch. The flow rate affects the pH of ionized water: if the pH is too low, this may be due to excessive water pressure. By turning the switch controlling the water flow to the "Low" or "High” position, the process of ionization is, in the first case, increased, and in the second, decreased; this usually results in a corresponding increase or, instead, a reduction of the pH value. The flow rate setting is shown on the LCD display; this allows users to optimize settings thereby obtaining a constant pH.
Self-Cleaning-System: an automatic internal descaling and self-cleaning system maintains optimal functioning of the electrolysis chamber. However, this mechanism does not replace manual descaling, which has to be carried out depending on the hardness of the drinking water (input water).
With the output regulator, positioned next to the water outlet elbow tube, the amount of acidic water can be mechanically adjusted. This adjustment, in turn, affects the pH and also helps to save water. Normally, the ratio between acidic and alkaline water is 40/60, but can be set, depending on the characteristics of the water being treated, between 20/80 and 50/50.
A special, integrated software allows the ECAIA ionizer S to adapt to any type of drinking water. This technology is part of the "PWM control method" patented by the manufacturer and allows precise and automatic adjustment of the pH value, independently of the water flow. This methodology ensures optimal and standardized ionization 24 hours a day. There are also over 20 options for manually setting the pH value (depending on the source of available water).
The technology of a transformer allows the conversion of alternating current into direct current. This has a better effect on the water treated than is the case with SMPS power supply regulators. Thanks to the use of this tried and tested electrical engineering technology, the ECAIA ionizer S is very durable and less prone to breakdown of its electronic components. Its excellent performance is guaranteed by the power supply regulator, by the electrodes and by their reciprocal arrangement. In fact, the electrodes of the ECAIA ionizer S are positioned so as to achieve excellent values even with a minimum amount of electric current.
Permanent installation does not necessarily mean less versatility. The ECAIA ionizer S demonstrates that, though permanently installed, it loses nothing in terms of adaptability and convenience. Its laterally-positioned filters can be easily replaced even if the appliance is securely mounted on the wall. With adjustable fittings, the ECAIA ionizer can be directly connected to the tap or to the angle valve under the sink.
The ECAIA ionizer S can also be positioned under the sink and operated using the ECAIA ionizer S faucet. Thus, only 2-way faucet used to tap alkaline and acidic water is visible. The ECAIA ionizer S faucet is available as an option in the shop.
